Why I Built This
For several seasons, I volunteered as the parent team manager for my daughter's JTT team. The very first match, I used the suggested lineup from the facility staff — and even that was a scramble. Players didn't show up, and I was rearranging positions on the spot with no easy way to track what I'd changed.
As the season went on, it only got harder. I needed to keep things fair — making sure every player got a good mix of singles and doubles by the end of the season — while also adjusting for whoever actually showed up on match day. I started tracking it all on a paper spreadsheet, then moved it to a desktop spreadsheet, and eventually shared it to my phone so I could make updates courtside in real time.
It worked, but it was clunky. I kept thinking: there has to be an easier way to adjust lineups on the fly and keep everything balanced. So I built one.
Tennis Parent is the app I wished I'd had from day one. I hope it makes the JTT team manager role a little easier for you too.
